This unique and historic ballpoint pen made from reclaimed certified wood from seats installed at Dodger Stadium, occasionally called by the metonym Chavez Ravine. The baseball park located in the Elysian Park neighbourhood of Los Angeles, California, the home field to the Los Angeles Dodgers, the city's National League franchise of Major League Baseball (MLB). Opened 56 years ago on April 10, 1962, it was constructed in less than three years at a cost of US$23 million, financed by private sources. Dodger Stadium is currently the oldest ballpark in MLB west of the Mississippi River, and third-oldest overall, after Fenway Park in Boston (1912) and Wrigley Field in Chicago (1914) and is the world's largest baseball stadium by seat capacity. Often referred to as a "pitcher's ballpark", the stadium has seen twelve no-hitters, two of which were perfect games..

The wooden blank I used to make this pen is shown in the pictures, and is now over 60 years old. The wood supplier in the USA is highly reputable and one of the leading suppliers of genuine historic wood for pen making.

A certificate of authenticity, provided by the supplier, will be included with the pen (see pictures). The metal pen parts are obtained from a UK provider, renowned worldwide for supplying premium pen parts for woodturners. The ballpoint pen is a twist action finial mechanism and can be supplied with black or blue ink. The fittings are in premium quality Chrome and Gunmetal. This is an expensive and exclusive pen due to its historic value hence I wanted to use the highest quality pen parts in its construction.
