About Hornbeam:
Hornbeam is an extremely dense and hard wood, historically known as "ironwood." Its strength made it the traditional material for gear teeth in watermills, butcher's blocks, and piano mechanisms. It is not commonly used for turning due to its extreme hardness, which makes it difficult to work with, making this a rare and unusual piece.

This is a totally silent, well-made clock focused on natural wood grain.
